The token doesn't work right now but we regularly check piefed for new accounts and manually approve them. What was the account you created called?
Edit: No accounts are waiting to be approved so we either approved it already (likely) or it was denied (unlikely)

That one has been approved. It's possible your old one wasn't approved if we couldn't be sure it wasn't a bot

The token link doesn't work for me either, but I think you just have to wait until your account is registered. Did you leave the question blank about why you wanted to make an account on piefed?
It's worth pointing out that we don't require emails when you sign up, and so, there is no email confirmation when you're approved.
