You regret being found out, not having that contact in the first place.

Boycott LA Olympics

I feel like nobody is really connecting the dots here.

All these people in positions of power knew what Epstein was doing, but none of them told us.

We had to find out for ourselves.

It was never just Trump. That's why there has been so much resistance.

"It's a big club and you ain't in it."

If the files go public more than half of the political system in USA would go to prison and that system includes many rich people who are just donors. It's the key to destroying Bullshit mountain.

[–] crusa187@lemmy.ml 4 points 4 hours ago

It’s only their demise if we make it so. The current system of power will not simply hold itself accountable after the fact, they’ll just pretend it doesn’t matter or that we deserved it.

No fucking way any of them sees any actual consquenses for anything.

And to add. The files are already public, and fuckall is happening, because it turns out, the people who are supposed to do something, are also in the files.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 3 points 4 hours ago

the people who are supposed to do something, are also in the files.

Ultimately, the people who are supposed to do something is us. If the legal system fails to do it, we have to do it outside the legal system.

RICH People go to Prison for RAPING CHILDREN?

[–] ShaggySnacks@lemmy.myserv.one 5 points 7 hours ago

Sounds like a fairy tale.

You sir, are goddamned right. It's the key to destroying the oligarchy, and their ivy league hacks that run business and government.

[–] frongt@lemmy.zip 2 points 7 hours ago

How much do you think is still going on that we don't know about?

[–] ordnance_qf_17_pounder@reddthat.com 19 points 9 hours ago (2 children)

The Panama papers never went anywhere, the Epstein files don't seem like they will either.

[–] grue@lemmy.world 1 points 4 hours ago

The Panama Papers never went anywhere in the US, but I think some perps in other, less corrupt countries saw consequences.

[–] IronBird@lemmy.world 6 points 7 hours ago* (last edited 7 hours ago)

the panama papers was just a bit of tax evasion, "who doesn't do a light bit of tax evasion every now and then amirightguys? don't hate the player hate the game etc."

pedophilia on the other hand is like the one sacred line that the modern western public at-large can't accept being crossed. the oligarchs and other rich parasites who don't actually believe in anything will be willing to turn a blind eye, but the actual voting public, least the ones not indoctrinated...not so much.

i'll be honest, even i'v seriously considered making a list of the worst offenders and just taking names of that list one by one, working out if i'd be able to afford the logistics of it all etc.

and i'm a peaceful relatively stable individual...gotta to imagine there are a lot less stable people out there seriously considering doing far worse to these people, many of them friends/family of the victims i imagine (who...if things look like they seriously wont face justice for their crimes, will get even more desperate)

Fuck the Olympics, fuck this guy.

[–] Itdidnttrickledown@lemmy.world 11 points 9 hours ago

He regrets getting caught and nothing else.
