Welcome to the discussion of US Politics!

Rules:

  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Report them, block them, and live a happier life than they do. We see too many slapfights that boil down to "Mom! He's bugging me!" and "I'm not touching you!" Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

Yeah. And two million eyes suddenly rolled.

[–] HootinNHollerin@lemmy.dbzer0.com 7 points 4 months ago

Omg What a joke

[–] funksoulkitchen@lemmy.zip 5 points 4 months ago

When you're a star, they let you do it

[–] CobblerScholar@lemmy.world 51 points 4 months ago (3 children)

It was surprising they did as much as they have, why would the criminal conspiracy rat on itself voluntarily?

[–] SeeMarkFly@lemmy.ml 28 points 4 months ago* (last edited 4 months ago) (1 children)

They have NO intention of letting you know how evil they actually are.

You and I will NEVER see those files. That's what is in them, EVIL.

I'll take bets.

[–] Lost_My_Mind@lemmy.world 9 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I’ll take bets.

No you won't. Nobody will bet against what you said.

[–] logi@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I might. You can never determine that the files will never be released. It could always be next week. So I'd never have to pay out. Then if, by some gross bureaucratic incompetence, they accidentally release the files, I could still collect.

[–] HuntressHimbo@lemmy.zip 4 points 4 months ago

Just to buy time for other things while people obsess over the files probably. Drip feed it to keep everyone wrapped up in the wrong scandal

[–] homesweethomeMrL@lemmy.world 2 points 4 months ago

Is you releasin’ poorly redacted evidence of a criminal fuckin’ conspiracy?

[–] foggy@lemmy.world 21 points 4 months ago (1 children)
[–] krashmo@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

We only do that to poor people. Rich and powerful people deserve nothing but deference and understanding from the courts.

[–] skozzii@lemmy.ca 12 points 4 months ago (1 children)

They are scheduled to release right after his tax returns he promised to release.

[–] ayyy@sh.itjust.works 3 points 4 months ago

They’ll come out during infrastructure week.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 11 points 4 months ago (1 children)

People sure are talking about it much less though, aren’t they?

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

I'm talking about it. This article is talking about it. Did you forget to add your "/s"?

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 8 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Compared to the way the conversations was going in November, it is very quiet.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 2 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Ah, you mean the media isn't talking about it. Got it, thanks for the clarification.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 4 points 4 months ago (1 children)

The media as well as EVERYBODY ELSE is talking about it less. Key word there is less. I didn’t say “not talking about it at all”.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 1 points 4 months ago (2 children)

The only solution I have is to keep talking about it, as much or more as before. What is your strategy?

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Leaks get clicks. Have to make it marketable for the media, they don't do what they do for the public good.

[–] Atelopus-zeteki@fedia.io 1 points 4 months ago (1 children)

Ah, so your are planning on leaking something juicy? Cool!

[–] Rhaedas@fedia.io 2 points 4 months ago

If I had it, it would already be out there. But someone does have it... so they could do something.

[–] danc4498@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

I’m happy with that. I hope that closer to midterms people start hammering Trump and the Republicans again.

[–] FreshParsnip@lemmy.ca 7 points 4 months ago (1 children)

The Untied States will be rubble by then

Translator's note: "plan" is the meaning of keikaku.

[–] Akasazh@lemmy.world 5 points 4 months ago

Just release the unfinished product, it's ok.

[–] sturmblast@lemmy.world 3 points 4 months ago

How illegal

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 1 points 4 months ago

So wayyyy after it could possibly do any good.
