There are so many good episodes in that season, they were really starting to get the formula down at that point!
SNW Entire season 1
Also episode 1 of lower Decks again while showing a friend the show
I also played star trek armada if you count that as "consuming star trek media"
I tried watching academy, could not make it through it. Went back to ds9 for anoyher rewatch. The first season is pretty solid which is kinda rare for trek
DS9
This week I ended up trying the first Academy episode. Unfortunately I don't think it's for me! Maybe I'll come back and try it when I have a subscription for SNW S4.
I made it through the first two episodes but I gave up halfway through the first episode when 'full impulse' was apparently 0 kph.
I'm watching ds9 now. The effects are shit, the sets are a bit shoddy, but fuck me, the actors act and the writing doesn't want me to pull a Van Gogh.
Yeah, I may circle back and try it again sometime, but I definitely wasn't impressed with what I saw so far. It's a shame, because I was hoping I would like it. I definitely agree about the writing of DS9, it's my favorite Trek show. I can easily ignore less than stellar set design and special effects, but the story and acting has to be good.
Yeah the first season of DS9 is more rough than the rest (same issue as TNG and VOY), but it is a really good show.
I kind of enjoyed the first 2 episodes, but the 3rd one was just awful in my opinion. I hope it was a one time only low.
Hopefully! I was hoping I would like it, but I just didn't enjoy what I saw. I'll possibly give it another try later on as I don't want to dismiss it just on first impressions, but there are too many good movies and shows out there to spend too much time trying to like something!
I'm not really a Trekkie (haven't watched almost all of the franchise), but have watched all of Lower Decks, Picard, SNW, and am keeping up with Star Trek Academy.
I loved Lower Decks (personal favorite), wasn't the biggest fan of Picard, loved S1 of SNW, and don't think I'll be sticking around after disliking S3.
I am currently keeping up with Star Trek Academy. I like the characters, but I feel like it hasn't picked up steam yet. So we'll see.
