I also came here to post this. My favorite internet radio is also terrestrial radio.

KEXP 90.3 Seattle / KEXC 92.7 Alameda-San Francisco

It's a non-profit radio station with eclectic programming and live DJs 24/7 (meaning no automated playlists, ever).

https://theindiebeat.fm/ - in many ways a successor to RadioFreeFedi that plays a variety of channels of Fedi indie artists. Plays opted in artists hosted on Bandwagon.

http://stream.live.vc.bbcmedia.co.uk/bbc_world_service - sometimes listen when I want a news fix

http://live.lora924.de:8000/lora-hq.mp3 - public radio in München, trying to learn more German and its a decent mix of talk and music.

None other than Radio Rivendell. Been listening to them ever since the days when I played Second Life.

holy shit, they're still online? I remember listening to them on winamp back in the icecast days.

[–] Luminous5481@anarchist.nexus 2 points 2 months ago

you can listen from their website, or load up their stream in a media player.

I like a lot of electronic and dance music, here’s my favorite stations:

  • Kiosk Radio - great station from Brussels, often dancey and experimental
  • Dublab - Los Angeles station with eclectic programming
  • The Lot Radio - NYC based dance music radio, some big names
  • NTS

Not solely an internet radio, but i believe they were steaming since day one on the web. No commercials, with djs live on air and music from a wide range of genres. (They do have recurring shows though so you can tune in if there’s something you are interested in) Discovered a ton of great music and artists through them, they really have a great mix.

https://byte.fm/ - they talk german btw.
