To be fair, when I was a pool boy (for my home pool), this is basically how we would get the water ready (“shocking” it with a load of bleach, bc it has lots of chlorine)

I had no sugar except on weekends as a kid. I think I eat less sugar than the average American now, and I’m over 40. I also did a “Whole30” in my 30s and I think that had an effect on my palate as well

Perhaps you can find a lamp at your local thrift store, swap meet, or flea market? Assuming the fixture works then it’s mainly a matter of getting a nice grow bulb for your plants. Good luck!
