Internal Google documents, revealed in a recent child safety lawsuit, show the company viewed Chromebooks and its education tools as a way to onboard kids early creating "brand trust and loyalty over their lifetime."

A 2020 presentation described schools as a pipeline for future users.

Google says the documents mischaracterize its work, which prioritizes helping students and teachers with strong privacy safeguards in school accounts.

There was absolutely no need to slap an AI slop photo on this

Google stole this playbook from Apple anyhow. It was no coincidence that Apple ][ was popular in education. They were open about this. It continued into the Mac era as well
