Yes, but the fact is there was such a difamation campaign on the left, that divorcing from the term seems super healthy.
Most people would agree with the majority of leftist principles, but will shun them immediately if you told them that's being the left.

Hey now, I'm doing my part to reclaim libertarian for the anarchists. I'm just saying, a lefty (especially libertarian left) wouldn't say they're "not left or right". Thats my primary point. The messaging smells like rand paul and the black and yellow just feels like a nod to ancaps moreso than "Black and yellow!!!! Ancap alert!!!!"

I love this. I'm so sick of people painting with a two color brush here in the US.
Yes, the right is fucking crazy and they need to be stopped first and foremost. But the "left" here is trash as well currently. Both sides fucked up, and I want something new to step up when the dust clears (if we're all still here after that).
The "left" in power here is just more left than the right, but still right of center.
