This generally goes against man code. Section 6, Subsection 5, Paragraph 6 states:

Pb&j uses one knife that is to be left on the edge of the sink, in case oneself should decide that another sandwich is desired. The “time of leaving” for the knife is at least one hour, but has no defined upper bound, unless acted upon by another section of this code.

I can't stand dishes so much anymore that I just let the pots I used to cook cool while I'm eating dinner, then just throw them in the fridge.

I usually eat the leftovers within the following 1-2 days, and I have less dishes because I'm not using containers.

Ez

[–] HugeNerd@lemmy.ca 2 points 9 hours ago

I invented that. Look forward to a cease and desist from my legal team.

[–] BackgrndNoize@lemmy.world 5 points 11 hours ago (2 children)

Lol only a child would call making a pb & j cooking

[–] spicehoarder@lemmy.zip 2 points 11 hours ago

I like to toast my pbj bread 🫣

[–] howrar@lemmy.ca -2 points 11 hours ago (1 children)

If it involves heating food on the stove top or the oven, I'd call it cooking. Find me a child that can make either the bread or jelly without that. I'll wait.

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 5 points 10 hours ago

To make a pb & j from scratch, first you must create the universe.

[–] percent@infosec.pub 4 points 13 hours ago

Why (and how to) cook a PB&J?

[–] Sam_Bass@lemmy.world 1 points 9 hours ago

Well, theres your problem. Youre not supposed to cook pb&j, youre supposed to eat it raw

Can making a peanut butter and jelly sandwich really be called "cooking"?

[–] Rusty@lemmy.ca 3 points 10 hours ago

If you make your own peanut butter, jelly and bread, yes.

[–] TheReturnOfPEB@reddthat.com 18 points 19 hours ago

this is why leftovers are the greatest of meals

no pots and pans; no kitchen clean up

One peanut butter and jelly WHAT?

[–] bleistift2@sopuli.xyz 6 points 19 hours ago (1 children)

That’s why I don’t do them. As an added bonus, each new meal is pre-seasoned.

[–] Zorque@lemmy.world 5 points 18 hours ago

Congratulations, you've (re)invented perpetual stew.

[–] guynamedzero@piefed.zeromedia.vip 4 points 20 hours ago (1 children)

Man I’m so sleep deprived I read that as peanut butty and jeller and thought I was missing something

[–] TehBamski@lemmy.world 5 points 20 hours ago

Hahaha. You were missing something. The timeline where that's what we call a PB&J. All plausible.

[–] Nomorereddit@lemmy.today 1 points 14 hours ago

If you toasted that pbj and added gureyer cheese and dragon bacon....it was worth it.

[–] ThatGuyNamedZeus@feddit.org 1 points 16 hours ago (1 children)

I'm not a fan of peanut butter with jelly, but next time I have some pound cake I'll grill it with some jelly strawberry jelly

[–] Rekorse@sh.itjust.works 2 points 15 hours ago (1 children)

Jelly is awful. Jam or preserves or just sliced fruit is far better. Jelly is artificial bullshit, and you can tell it I said so.

[–] AndyMFK@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 12 hours ago (1 children)

Wait I assumed what Americans call jelly IS jam? Wtf is jelly if that's not the case?

[–] faythofdragons@slrpnk.net 2 points 12 hours ago* (last edited 12 hours ago) (1 children)

In the US, jelly is pectin-thickened juice but jam leaves the fruit puree in it.

Edit: Jelly is also a thicker gel texture, and jam is still quite loose.

Interesting. Thank you
