Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). 4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.

Hey, let me try re-writing that headline:

"Republican senator interjects transphobia into a hearing about banning abortion ; OBGYN refuses to misgender her trans masculine patients."

Men can absolutely get pregnant. Because trans men can get pregnant, and trans men are at least as much men as bigoted transphobia like Hawley.

People really need to start treating these people like they’re fucking ignorant jackasses for bringing it up in the first place. Oh, you need it explained to you that only transgender men can get pregnant, not cisgender men? Okay, we can sit here and explain to your utterly mushy peas for brains ass that some transgender men still have the parts they were born with and still need gynecological care.

Also couldn't someone be considered "a man" but have a uterus. How hard would it have been for her to say that?

It's not like people who have had hysterectomys are suddenly men are they?

Isn't Hawley that Nazi looking motherfucker that cheered on Trump on Jan 6th?

[–] kylie_kraft@lemmy.world 2 points 18 hours ago

Also seen on video fleeing for shelter after all those "peaceful protestors" broke in on the same day.

[–] Spacehooks@reddthat.com 6 points 1 day ago

Has he not seen the documentary called Junior wherea a buff male gave birth?

[–] spongebue@lemmy.world 1 points 19 hours ago

Hawley did the same thing a few years ago with someone else using the term "people capable of pregnancy"... I'd look up the video but I don't really want to expose myself to that fuckface more than necessary right now

[–] Swordinferno@lemmy.world 18 points 1 day ago

Don't fall for this man's propaganda! Keep cumming in his gay ass!

[–] echo@lemmings.world 9 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Hawley is a fucking moron.

[–] Soulphite@reddthat.com 3 points 1 day ago

He's exactly the representation of all the red parts that Missouri has to offer all wrapped up in a stupid suit. Source: am from misery in the only tiny blue district we have left.

Oh, FFS, why are these assholes so obsessed with trans?

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 7 points 1 day ago

They're wrestling with their own homophobia and are worried that they might see a woman they think is hot, but has a penis and that would make them gay (in their mind).

[–] fodor@lemmy.zip 4 points 1 day ago (2 children)

Same reason they worried about Monica Lewinsky.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

Yeah, they spent most of the decade trying to get Bill and/or Hillary on something and ended up with...a stain on a dress.

As the Clintons have aged and mostly left the stage, that "issue" has mostly lost its effectiveness. I suspect the trans thing will be something that animates them for quite some time. Though with all the white hot rage they have over BLM, Me Too, and losing on the gay marriage thing, I wonder if they won't rely more on the golden oldies...

[–] Alexstarfire@lemmy.world 1 points 1 day ago

They were upset they weren't getting head?

[–] drmoose@lemmy.world 6 points 1 day ago

This dude's entire persona is to rage bait conservative talk points

[–] xxce2AAb@feddit.dk 6 points 1 day ago

Ignore that feeling in your gut, America. That's probably just patriotic pride in your magnificent "democratic" representatives. Or diarrhea. One of those, probably.
