So what do they consider proof? A photo of scan of an active passport? Or the actual physical passport?

I don't even have a passport as I haven't traveled internationally since the 90s when it wasn't needed for Canada and Mexico.
Guess I'm not a US citizen as far as ICE is concerned despite being born in the dead center of the US and at least four generations of citizens above me.
