What the lemmy libs really don't get is that even if not every protestor is Mossad, the protests are caused by illegal sanctions of the country with the express purpose of starving people to the point of desperation so that western countries and their puppet Shah can resume resource extraction and using Iran as a geopolitical pawn. They do not care about anything else, everything else westerners are bringing up are not relevant to what is going on - gay people, women's rights, workers rights, kurdish nationalism, baloch nationalism, MeK or any other thing besides destroying the industrial capacity of the world and enforcing periphery politics on the Iranian people. No one with understanding of Iran wants another power vacuum where material conditions will definitely get worse for everyone.

The West has been obsessed with toppling the Iranian government since 1979. All their claims about concern for human rights are exposed as lies by their support for the genocide and ethnic cleansing in Palestine. It is hegemony and they can't accept a government that is not subservient to their ambitions in the region.

Who knows what is really happening?

Good thing Putin didn't sign a peace agreement with Ukraine. Now with Trump's planned invasion of Iran, a future US administration will be able to install missiles near the Caspian to threaten Russia, even if NATO fails badly in Ukraine. At the very least the US will control the air space and fly through it, with Iran defeated. Let's hope that Trump has to pay a price for this course of action.
