They probably only remember that they forgot after 19 seconds, the actual forgetting is likely much faster
If you forget only the name, that's cool. I also forget people's faces. Talking with kids parents: "Hi! I'm [name] -Huh! I know!" -_-'
hahah that happened to me once, it was so awkward xD
Could have sworn these were called 'chiclets' or something like that, but apparently not.
I have made a habit of writing down somebody's name immediately after i met them on a notes app on my phone. This way i remember it better but also i can look it up in case i do end up forgetting it anyways.
Sometimes I have these dreams where I’m dating someone and I forget their name.
There was an old Seinfeld episode about this. I’m guessing it’s not just me.

It's weird but that's, like, the only thing I'm good at remembering. I've pretty much remembered the name of everyone that has told me but if you ask me why I haven't taken out the trash yet it will be "sorry, I forgot" for about half the day and still might forget to do it.
