If you have liquid ass you should see a doctor.

I did try, but the lack of contrast made it basically unreadable.

iPhone users in particular really hate change. Every time Apple makes any large change in software or hardware design there’s a lot of pushback. Part of the appeal of Apple for a lot of their users is getting a product and it operates the same as the old one that they’ve always been used to.

I’m not saying whether or not it’s justified but it’s worth keeping in mind there were a lot of complaints when the last iOS design launched, when the home button was removed, when the lock button shifted to the side, (famously) when the 3.5mm jack was removed. The list goes on.

The real reason adoption is slow is that the update is opt-in. Normal people have their phone set up to automatically update, and it works fine as-is.

The only reason I have iOS 26 is because I bothered to go in the Software Update page and saw it was released.

To be honest though, *OS 26 is the worst update yet overall, lots of crashes and the UI changes are not great. If there was an option to go back to the old UI I would use it…

I have an iPhone 17 so I really didn’t have a say on upgrading to iOS 26. I’ll just say it really has been kind of a visual nightmare compared to 18. Even with the reduce transparency stuff turned on, it makes my home screen icons look really dumb. Why does my dark icon theme have wonky looking half white borders around everything? It doesn’t just look ugly it honestly hurts my eyes too. I’ve been telling everyone I know to stay on iOS 18 as long as you can.
