Mine too, because I sometimes forget to eat so I just grab a snack right before bed.

Just as I read your comment I finished an 11 o clock tuna sandwich

I don't have that problem because I'm old, I have that problem because I have work too early in the morning

[–] edinbruh@feddit.it 6 points 3 months ago

What if you are just delaying dinner? I often have dinner after 22:00

[–] tyler@programming.dev 5 points 3 months ago

This is a weird problem. The oldest people I know eat dinner at like 5:00pm, and go to bed at like 11. I usually eat within an hour of bed, but that’s like 11 or midnight.

I'll just shift my dinnertime to 5:30 so I can go to bed at 8:00 with no heartburn. I'm not even 30 yet

I am a night owl that stays up past midnight almost every night and I eat dinner at 5:30 on a regular basis.

Dinner at 22:00, bed at 23:00. Am I old?

[–] toynbee@lemmy.world 2 points 3 months ago

I've recently learned that having under two hours between eating and laying down strongly increases your risk of heartburn.

Isn't "bedtime snack" a fairly normal thing most people do?

[–] SaveTheTuaHawk@lemmy.ca 2 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Really bad idea for sleep. The American thing about waking up in the middle of the night to eat is uniquely American.

[–] parzival@lemmy.org 1 points 3 months ago

Wasn't it found a common thing among cavemen or smth?

[–] gerryflap@feddit.nl 1 points 3 months ago

Not every day. Hell, not even every week. Eating before sleeping messes up my sleep
