After faltering in his plan to found a new ‘America Party’, the world’s richest person is returning to the GOP fold

In the aftermath of his spectacular falling out with Donald Trump last year, Elon Musk blasted the Republican Party as a corrupt force that was "bankrupting" the United States of America.

But now, after months in the political wilderness, the volatile tech baron has indicated that he will once again devote his enormous fortune to electing GOP politicians, this time ahead of the midterm elections in 2026.

"America is toast if the radical left wins," declared Musk on X Thursday. "They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud. Won’t be America anymore."

Believing in other viewpoints, Worker's Rights, and acknowledging that minorities exist is not "radical", you pathetic Nazi.

[–] drunkpostdisaster@lemmy.world 6 points 19 hours ago

god damn was a sniveling little bitch. All that money and he still has to kneel down to the party that turned on him a few months ago.

The joke is he doesn't need to go "all in" to influence US politics.

We're surprisingly cheap with above board "donations". Let's all pretend that's all they get.

In the 70s, the FBI ran a sting, bribing government officials (congress, judge, etc). They immediately caught like 30 of them, fish in a barrel. It was called "Abscam".

Today, donations from Super PACs don't need to be explained, there is no requirement to divulge. So, they are bribed above board if the charges are "reasonable", if it's more expensive to an absurd degree, they use other means.

Let's say he had to give everyone in leadership of congress and executive and courts a MILLION DOLLARS. He'd still be unfathomably wealthy, he wouldn't even notice it's missing.

They'll sell out usually for five-six figures, or even a lucrative trading tip.

Epstein did a lot of this "lobbying". Sometimes those who need to be bought have certain secrets they wish to share.

Where is this radical left and how can I get some?

[–] phoenixz@lemmy.ca 19 points 1 day ago

I'd be in jail

We didn't forget the reason why you want left to lose, Elmo!

[–] chilldrivenspade@lemmy.world 11 points 1 day ago

he’s toast if his pedo friends don’t win

[–] JPSound@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago

America isn't toast, your sorry ass is toast. Get fucked, idiot.

[–] OshagHennessey@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

"My ass is toast if democracy wins."

-FTFY

[–] muusemuuse@sh.itjust.works 19 points 1 day ago

Dude there is no radical left in the US. There’s different flavors of right, one of them is inconvenient to con men. Thats it.

[–] MrSulu@lemmy.ml 17 points 1 day ago (1 children)

The amount he will spend will be proportionately far less than the rest of us spend on general insurances. He'll also claim this as a tax deductible. So it gets him further tax savings and keeps him more likely to stay in a position of power and influence. Fuck that. Tax the billionaire class.

[–] MBech@feddit.dk 7 points 1 day ago

Murder the lot. They don't think twice about killing a worker, we shouldn't think twice about killing them. It's self defence really.

[–] heyWhatsay@slrpnk.net 12 points 1 day ago

I like toast. More toast plz

[–] Slashme@lemmy.world 37 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Billionaires spending craptons of money convincing poor people that even poorer people are their enemy is never good for the world.

[–] starblursd@lemmy.zip 3 points 1 day ago

But somehow keeps working 😭

[–] stoy@lemmy.zip 23 points 1 day ago

Dear Mr. Musk, who exactly are the "radical left" that you seem to fear so much?

[–] boonhet@sopuli.xyz 57 points 2 days ago (4 children)
[–] Someone8765210932@lemmy.world 25 points 1 day ago (1 children)

If the left in the US was only a tenth as "radical" as they claim, people like Musk and his billionaire friends would have to dodge bullets wherever they go.

[–] Stern@lemmy.world 13 points 1 day ago

"Radical leftists like Bernie Sanders"

IRA be like, "Wait, you're joking right?"

Go back to Africa and fuck up your own country you dirty immigrant!!!

[–] HarneyToker@lemmy.world 20 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Yes because your foray into politics was so fruitful before. Maybe he’ll actually destroy his career this time like he got close to last time?

[–] BanMe@lemmy.world 19 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Tesla's stock creeps ever higher because the insane casino that is Wall Street hangs on his every word. "Well sure, people refuse to buy his cars," they say. "But now he says it doesn't matter." They're betting on the taxi fleet and humanoid robots taking over and fixing everything.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

The level of hopium among that bunch just amazes me. I was thinking they might have one of the highest P/E ratios, but there are apparently many companies with even higher P/Es.

Some of those seem to be medical research outfits, and my guess is that people are gambling on some incredible moonshot kind of thing. I guess people believe fElon's claims about robots, taxis and their "AI", but given his track record on delivering an EV for rigs, let's just say I'm a bit skeptical. The guy also seems to be distracted by a million other things that have nothing to do with running any of his companies.

"They will open the floodgates to illegal immigration and fraud.

Just a reminder that Elon Musk is an illegal immigrant and a fraud.

[–] sausager@lemmy.world 98 points 2 days ago (4 children)

And America without immigrants wouldn't be America anymore, not the other way around.

What happened to creating a new party? Fucking clown.

[–] JTskulk@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago

There isn't an already functioning and somewhat successful political party to buy and then claim he invented politics.

Just a reminder that trying to buy an election is normally frowned upon in sane countries.

People should go all in on boycotting all his companies especially Tesla and Twitter.

Other countries need to cap campaign contributions if they haven't already because Musk has been known to fund the far-right globally.

[–] spaghettiwestern@sh.itjust.works 182 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago)

Everyone who's not a Nazi is "the radical left" to a Nazi.

[–] Lucidlethargy@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 days ago

Yeah, the radical right is doing a great job running the country. Housing is affordable, groceries are at an all time low, and unemployment is actually at a net negative. They're just giving jobs away at every corner!

Fuck you, Elon. Eat shit and die. Convince your friend Trump to eat a big bowl as well.

[–] SoloCritical@lemmy.world 40 points 2 days ago

When billionaires are afraid, you know you’re on the correct path.

[–] Naevermix@lemmy.world 7 points 1 day ago

Felon Musk is looking to get cucked again.

[–] CharlesDarwin@lemmy.world 58 points 2 days ago (2 children)

LOL, where is this "radical left"?

Are any of these "radical left" in the room with us right now?

I think he's talking more about "any sensible normal American that might regulate my shitty companies".

You mean HE is toast if the Democrats get the house and senate. America is toast already. You just don't want your enrichment from the corruption to end.

Elon can take his limp non working dick back to South Africa by way of El Salvador.
