What is happening to American culture is a sight to behold; Older generations seem so entrenched in not absorbing anything new, they are not only denying young people the right to have a voice in their moment's aesthetics; they also want to mummify the creators of their nostalgic era into undying slop machines.

generative AI makes perfect sense for this purpose: "The young won't be allowed to create anything. The young should not have a voice. Every cultural product for our future Utopia will be made in the image of an fictional bygone era by the all knowing vending machine."

And then they watch their cultural output stagnate and enshitify and say it's because of the "woke" and the "DEI".

Vault-tec Culture Stasis Pod uses the latest in AI technology to encase ideology in a diamond-hard protective layer impenetrable to Commie Ideas!

In which Tarantino makes a cameo appearance where his character coincidentally says the N-word a bunch

I mean if you think about it hard enough, It's not really hard to trick yourself into thinking that's what the movie already is. Try and spot the difference between a nazi and zionist.

He is a washed director thats why no one cares about him anymore

also this

Pick has proudly declared in a recent interview that Tarantino never considered leaving Israel for safety as bombs fell. He’s even quoted as saying, “Well, whatever. Like if something happens, I’ll die as a Zionist.”

lol, this writer all she wants is more hollywood slop to watch

Because right now, the American movie is in a fight for its life. Tarantino’s peers have all taken up arms — challenging themselves like never before with hugely ambitious projects specifically for the big screen (and, hopefully, big audiences).

It’s time Tarantino once again joins the front lines and makes a last-ditch effort to save this medium we all love. Do that, Quentin, and you can talk all the smack you want, I promise.

if the medium sucks its because of the capitalists that owns it, not one director or movie is going to change it for the better

Doesn’t Tarantino more or less think that himself? That’s why he’s stepped away from filmmaking, he doesn’t feel like he has any more stories to tell and he’s not going to force it, and he certainly doesn’t need the money.

Pretty much, i remember he once said unlike other directors he would only make 10 movies so he doesnt become washed, and he never made that 10th movie

Who gives a shit about Tarantino anymore? His role was taken on by the Safdie brothers and I think they do a much better job anyways.

I will agree to this when the Safdie brothers make their first good movie.

Edit: You know what, that was too harsh. Their first movie that I like.

Marty Supreme was actually really good. I'm kind of a sucker for the chaos dialogue that they do better than anyone. Probably because it reminds me of growing up

there's a much better alternate creative path for QT where he decided to just keep on making elmore leonard adaptations after jackie brown. oh well
