Posts should be related to UK-centric politics, and should be either a link to a reputable news source for news, or a text post on this community.
Opinion pieces are also allowed, provided they are not misleading/misrepresented/drivel, and have proper sources.
If you think "reputable news source" needs some definition, by all means start a meta thread. (These things should be publicly discussed)
Posts should be manually submitted, not by bot. Link titles should not be editorialised.
Disappointing comments will generally be left to fester in ratio, outright horrible comments will be removed.
Message the mods if you feel something really should be removed, or if a user seems to have a pattern of awful comments.

We can't just simply ignore Farage and Reform, and hope they'll go away.
No, but we also don't have to be his publicist either.
This article isn't news, it's just what he's said he's hoping for.
This article is a call to action for the left to form a broad coalition to stop Reform getting elected:

Six London councils? Not a chance.
I do unfortunately still think Reform will win the next GE, but London won’t be the reason why.
It'll be the Labour and Tory heartlands, which are now the Reform heartlands, that swing this their way.

To me it's very weird how every election I've been part of so far in the UK has been viewed as basically predetermined long ahead of time. What's up with that?
People are idiots who happily vote for a catchy slogan from a lovable rascal, than vote for their interests. Especially if said rascal has the financial banking of a few billionaires, can spread the slogan far and wide across all media, and can even cow the official news sources to feature it
I assume that's how they keep rioting at a minimum. Nobody questions if everything is going according to how they were told it would be, to paraphrase the Joker.
The outer-suburban councils, where everybody drives and resents congestion charges/low emission zones/cyclists/tax money being spent on public transport for metropolitan “elites”? The fash have a better chance than you think.
