Yeah, pull ups are excellent. BUT technically require equipment: something to hang off, which can be challenging to find.

People stay stuck in the mindset of "in the near future I will do this" when what you actually need to do is build up your willpower and motivation in the present.

If you are beginning a new year new body gym routine resolution thingamajig starting January 1st, make sure on that day your main goal isn't to go to the gym for an hour but instead to work on your mentality to go regularly. And internalise after you have worked out, how good that post-workout serotonin feels.

Also watch like a gym basics guide on Youtube or something it is your first time.
