This brings to mind an episode of Dilbert where Dilbert was confronting Alice about the morality of keeping money in the bank while only donating to "helpful causes" when deemed appropriate. Ever since then, I can't help but think I am at least in a minuscule way in part responsible for the atrocities that occur to the masses. My tax money probably only aid the pedos in office rn and me keeping money in the bank also probably keeps the 1% happy somehow. I talk big game but when it comes down to it, I'm just in the same rat race as everybody else...

If it makes you feel better you could stuff all of your savings under a mattress?

Me: "Phones should have a headphone jack!"

Others: "Have you considered that built in DACs sound crap, and that you can get cheap wireless earbuds?"

For the record, all built in DACs I tried sounded better and had less interference than any external DACs I was forced to buy, but maybe the problem was me not buying one with audiophile grade capacitors and healing crystals.

If you don't use sage and onyx to cleanse the dac between uses it won't be grounded enough to make good music.

Nice to see the classics making the rounds still.

I mean... The iPhone one is legit, though.

IPhones are expensive, and there are a lot of alternatives on the market. It's not like anyone is railroaded into buying an apple product. And considering the alternatives are all significantly cheaper, it's an active choice to buy an apple product as opposed to anyone else.

Do those alternatives, which are cheaper, pay those workers better?

Really? I may buy one when I refresh my phone then. I had honestly given up on electronics companies trying to do fair trade.

You (and several others) are missing the entire point of this meme/comic.

It's not about iPhones or smart, ethical alternatives in consumerism.

It is making fun of those who insist that hypocrisy negates facts!

A lifelong smoker tells you that smoking is bad. You point out what a hypocrite he
is because he smokes. Does any of that have any relevance at all regarding the fact
that smoking is indeed bad?

Stop focusing on the iPhone. The meme/comic is about hypocrisy and how people are dismissive
of facts if they feel they can accuse people of being hypocrites.

There is a fallacy for this:

Yeah, there is a lot of things wrong with apple products. I’m also not interested in buying the newest apple products because I would rather buy a decent refurbished apple product that’s not too old for multiple years and for as long as possible
