As long as it’s actually designed to slope towards the drain, it’s all good. I have one of those “free with countertop purchase” sinks, and there’s absolutely no slope. It sucks. It also has square corners! So difficult to keep clean.
OP was talking about the water stream but yes those things are extremely irritating
If you're faucet sucks, then that's a real red flag.
Water should be coming out, not going in. I think you may have purchased a dental apperarus.
That must be super effective at removing hard stuff stuck to plates and utensils.
They probably have mineral buildup in their faucet.
I bought one that has this as a feature.

Nah I think this is the design of It, they have a water softener system installed and my fiancee just confirmed its built that way
It converges around the middle and is diverging by the end.
I mean if we're gonna get pedantic technically it converges about ¾'s through the stream

The waterflow out of the faucet...instead of just going separately they converge.....

yeah took me a bit I though the tub was supposed to be oddly shaped, like a funnel or something, then I noticed the water stream.
Which might defeat the point of a wider stream, at least the point of it for some people: that water doesn't splash all around after hitting the dish in a single concentrated jet.
There's a button on the side to make it spray.
The converging is really just a side effect of the spray function.
Ah, like in a showerhead with adjustable width of the stream, where this would be some intermediate value.
