I've installed a number of different things on my PC. Almost all are still just self contained .appimages which I don't even need to create a shortcut of, I can just keep the app image where I want it and use that.

Now I haven't had the need to pin any app images to my task manager, so I can't speak to that portion. Personally speaking it is just a non-issue for me is all.

The only time I've ever added any programs go lutris/steam is when its not a native Linux program, and in that case, yeah, I expect to do some fiddling because it wasn't meant for Linux in the first place. This also has the added benefit of letting me use controllers

I love the way you made a plot in the lake! Definitely stealing that for am outpost idea I had...

Curious how people can farm like that though haha, definitely more space aware, but I can't stand sneaking through my crops, id rather have paths to reach each crop

The biggest tell is the missing sucker tube. Though boxelder bugs are fairly vibrant in color, and generally are numerous/you know about them majority of your life.

Around me they've become far less common due to climate change sadly. Love the little guys, even if they used to easily overwhelm any house in the woods.

Wat? I'm on bazzite tbf, a locked garden where you're not allowed to do anything Advanced tbf, but I literally just right click create shortcut. Or if I want to pin it... I right click "add to task manager"

Ahh I misunderstood you and took you for the benefit of the doubt.

If you have a system off grid then it doesn't fucking matter.

They would likely have two separate frequencies, a standard used nationally "On the Grid" frequency, and if you're "Off the Grid" you would need to have a different frequency then what ever is used locally.

You could use a device Like this to measure, or change the frequency of said wire.

You have a wire, it has voltage going through it, that means it has an EM field. We can measure said field in many ways. You can even measure this without needing to physically touch the wire. The absence of any electricity at all means no frequency, no em field. Put even 1mv through the wire and now it has an EM field.

You have just measured Frequency vs No frequency. Why is this such a difficult concept to understand?

Because waves are frequencies. I wanted to encourage you to think about what your were arguing about.

What are waves if not frequencies?

So you do realize that this is exactly how HV wire detectors work right lol... You hold up a wire (or there's a wire in the wall) carrying high voltage, and the wand will pick up the EM Field.

Meshtastic doesn't have the ability, ever, to be able to do more than rudimentary texts. The frequency bands it operates on simply won't be able to handle more than that, and if it ever became mainstream in any way, it certainly wouldn't be able to handle anything more than text.

Sure be awesome to have another way to text people, it just will never be an alternative to the internet or sending memes on a SM.

Hello, I am crossposting this as I noticed this community also has no rules, and it's been noticed that the top comment on a lot of posts is asking for a "No clickbait" rule and a dislike of all the spam extremely low quality articles that get posted.

It's the top comment on all the pop science articles. Can it just officially be a rule? You are all much smarter than I, please help compile a list of known websites that publish explicitly low quality articles, with very little science basis to back up said claims, beyond an extremely shoddy study.

Recently I've been getting quite a few different Timeout Errors, or "Server Rebooting" even quite a few unknown is all itll tell me. Curious if this something on my end, or if the server has been having some connection issues?
