1. Relevant commentary on your own dull life. Posts should be about your own dull, lived experience. This is our most important rule. Direct questions, random thoughts, comment baiting, advice seeking, many uses of "discuss" rarely comply with this rule.

2. Original, Fresh, Meaningful Content.

3. Avoid repetitive topics.

4. This is not a search engine
Use a search engine, a tradesperson, Reddit, friends, a specialist Facebook group, apps, Wikipedia, an AI chat, a reverse image search etc. to answer simple questions or identify objects. Also see rule 1, “comment baiting”.

There are a number of content specific communities with subject matter experts who can help you.

Some other communities to consider before posting:

5. Keep it dull. If it puts us to sleep, it’s on the right track. Examples of likely not dull: jokes, gross stuff (including toes), politics, religion, royalty, illness or injury, killing things for fun, or promotional content. Feel free to post these elsewhere.

6. No hate speech, sexism, or bullying No sexism, hate speech, degrading or excessively foul language, or other harmful language. No othering or dehumanizing of anyone or negativity towards any gender identity.

7. Proofread before posting. Use good grammar and punctuation. Avoid useless phrases. Some examples: - starting a post with "So" - starting a post with pointless phrases, like "I hope this is allowed" or “this is my first post” Only share good quality, cropped images. Do not share screenshots of images; share the original image.

SMP Selle TRK medium. Super comfy. Best decision I've made since buying the bike.

People underestimate how comfy these seats are! Even without padded shorts you can get so much further without chafing if your seat has the cutout.

You've tried with padded shorts as well? Because description says they're designed to use without those. I'm curious about experience with.

If you want to have any flesh left between the saddle and your pelvis when doing 50 mile rides, you'll want the padding!

[–] rollerbang@lemmy.world 1 points 1 hour ago

Yeah, I do that but am looking to do a bit more intense of an event and an looking for something extra. So you've tried this particular saddle or some other gelled with padded shorts?

Stupid sexy bike seat

I liked riding bikes when I was younger, but it wasn't until I was much older and finally got a bike that fit me properly that I found it was something I really enjoy and look forward to every day. A decent saddle, positioned well, makes a world a difference. Enjoy the miles!

Dude, those are the best fucking saddles, I don't care what anyone says. I rode from San Francisco to LA on that during the pandemic and still have it.

Enjoy and go far!

Nice! I'm still pretty new to cycling, but I'm looking forward to getting some longer rides in as time goes by.

Ooh, I love that style of saddle. Very comfy. I'd rather not replace it, but I think that the rails might be getting a little bent. It took a pretty nasty hit during a crash last month.

I think it would irritate my testicles.

[–] BranBucket@lemmy.world 12 points 7 hours ago (1 children)

It keeps my weight further back on my sittin' bones rather than on the ol' gooch and associated bits, and that's where the padding is thickest on the seat. But everybody's built different.

I have cumbersome balls. It's debilitating.

[–] GalacticGrapefruit@lemmy.world 4 points 5 hours ago

Give this guide a look. It's pretty helpful.

Cumbersome Balls sounds like a good band name. Just sayin

[–] Sarcasmo@piefed.social 3 points 6 hours ago

Too good. No way that's not already taken.

[–] BranBucket@lemmy.world 4 points 7 hours ago

Sounds awful. Sorry about that.

A little, but I started out as a lousy climber so...

If you look at it the right way it's like a particularly sexy dog butt.
