Those are not mutually exclusive. ADHD people notice different things in life than others do.

Yeah They can say it about us. We can say the same about them. ๐Ÿ’โ€โ™‚๏ธ

I have a stunningly detailed memory bank I just don't get to choose what goes in it ๐Ÿฅฒ

Almost like theres a difference in attention.

I have audio processing issues that make me hear everything at equal levels of attention.

This means I can't be in an echoey restaurant without earplugs, but it did help me become a professional orchestra conductor and everyone tells me it's surprising how well I can notice tiny details from individual players. Go figure.

True and false and oh look, a โ€ฆA squirrel spinning on (squirrel safe) bird feeder, filmed from inside a living room, through a large glass front door/window..

This just reads like an argument for diversity to me

I think of it like a flash light. Normal people have the beam spread out, they can see more but with less with focus on any one thing. We have the beam real narrow so we can see one thing really well, but that is it. Also the flashlight is held by a phantom hand we don't always control.

I think the level of noise filtering is lower in ADHD brains. It can lead to over-stimulation which means missing things and fatigue but a well rested ADHD person will tend to notice more than a NT. Being insensitive to the passage of time also gives the impression that we don't care about meetings and are forgetful. Letting go of that has been a blessed relief.

Both. The obvious stuff is like invisible to me, but I will notice that some random valve is unscrewed, because I'm not paying attention to my main job.
