Ah Good-Time Phyllis.
Good times.
so.... tramp as in promiscuous woman or homeless person?
But in 1944 in San Diego, charged as a tramp meant that the police officer didn't like her being where she was found on the streets. The law (CPC 647e) was only declared unconstitutional by the U.S. Supreme Court in 1983
Weedheads, tramps and thieves, you'd hear it from the the people on the street..
She seems nice.
Did “weedhead” mean “pothead” back then, or was it another synonym for someone a cop had a hunch was of deficient moral character or something?
Yes.
I like the idea that Phyllis grew into an AWESOME grandmother.
Based Phyllis
Hey, me too
Stay strong, Phyllis.
