What’s going on?
Trump announced he was doing a full embargo of Venezuelan oil exports, with the stated reason being they stole their oil and land from the US.
Then he scheduled a press conference for 9PM today, which many expected to be a declaration of war/invasion, but ended up being Trump sundowning and complaining about Biden for an hour.
It was tremendously pathetic and painful to watch, yes.

Gaining power just to do nothing with it and maintain an unjust status quo is doing a bad thing, though unfortunately he did more than just that.

Yah, but he was also capitalizing on the worst terrorist attack on US soil, a world-changing event that unified almost every American behind war drums and a burning desire for revenge.
This time around? Our biggest threat is the lack of a healthcare plan that the GOP has had a decade to invent, work out or create. People are getting really irritated with this "corrupt business as usual" policy bullshit. If he tries to launch a war for no reason and a single American dies, it's going to be a massive PR disaster and could lead to substantive measures by his own party. Say what you will about establishment politicians, they DO in fact want to get reelected.
