The problem with these 2+ years between seasons is that people don't give a shit anymore, and this show isn't good enough for me to rewatch to remember what's going on. This is before we take into account how HBO already shit the bed with game of thrones.

I'm still waiting for this show to end to know if its worth watching. I do not trust or have any faith in GoT or its adjacent properties anymore.

It is not worth watching. S1 has two good episodes and pretty much nothing happens in season 2. The most notable part of s2 is a shithead character gets horribly injured.

I have not intention of bothering with S3 or anymore GoT products.

First season was great but then second season felt like 3 episodes stretched out over 8 with them repeating the same plotline over and over as though they ran out of money. And they botched what was a Red Wedding type hype plot to a forgettable one nobody cared about.

Book is finished and House of the Dragon only covers a small portion of Fire and Blood. So I finished it through the book. The writing was just not good for the show and it relied heavily on special effects of the dragons to do the heavy lifting.
