“Hey, stop picking on the poor widdle Nazis?”

How about you go fuck yourself? I fucking wish the establishment had more anti-nazi fervor.

EDIT: fuck my misanthropic drivel.

Nazism is not the most popular political ideology in the world. Whatever reasonable or semi-reasonable definition you could give the term, if parameters are applied consistently, would put it after multiple other political ideologies, with liberalism obviously coming first. That's why games that use Nazis as cannon fodder are consistently sold, because it's popularly regarded as not just inoffensive but righteous to kill SS freaks (and rightly so, of course).

Liberal society naturally produces fascism, but fascism historically has nonetheless been a thing imposed on the lower class, with its greatest popularity mainly being among the petite bourgeois and the military.

[–] LeninWeave@hexbear.net 25 points 3 months ago

Yeah, debatably fascism was barely the most popular ideology in actual fascist states, if even that.

I think you misread their post. I read it as “opposing nazis is the most popular ideology in the world”

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago (3 children)

I'm open to dbz correcting me, but given his history of misanthropically asserting that chuds are the most popular cultural force (false) and also reviewing what is written (e.g. "artists challenging the base assumptions of humanity") I believe I read it correctly.

[–] BobDole@hexbear.net 11 points 3 months ago

Hmm, reading it for the tenth time, I fear you may be correct desolate

[–] SkingradGuard@hexbear.net 8 points 3 months ago (1 children)

chuds are the most popular cultural force (false)

I think I get what you're saying, but it's hard not to think this given how powerful, influential and pervasive chud talking points are. Casual transphobia, for instance, is extremely common, at least where I live.

[–] purpleworm@hexbear.net 5 points 3 months ago

Chuddy places do really exist, but a lot of what we see on TV, online, etc. is astroturfing.

[–] DragonBallZinn@hexbear.net 6 points 3 months ago

Yeah, I’m not defending my drivel. I crashed out again and adjusted it accordingly.

Fascism is never popular, even in fascist states. It is only ever tolerated by people too afraid to fight them.

I'm a little worried about how doomer you've been lately comrade. Assuming that the majority of people are just unsalvagable monsters isn't a healthy outlook, especially for a leftist. Doomerism only helps the ruling class.

Seeing them take over more and more has been hard to say the least.

It's hard to remain faithful in others when everyday a new atrocity tops the other and "not enough" is done to change it. Yet the truth remains, the vast majority of average citizens are powerless and are conditioned to be helpless and see themselves as figures moved not those able to move figures.

Maybe I'll get bored of media about killing Nazis when there stop being real ones

EDIT: Holy shit straight up Holocaust denial in those replies

[–] SevenSkalls@hexbear.net 18 points 3 months ago (1 children)

Those replies are awful. Omg my eyes

[–] BeanisBrain@hexbear.net 12 points 3 months ago* (last edited 3 months ago)

Weird how so many of the replies are full of anticommunism alongside antisemitism and white supremacy. Total coincidence, I'm sure.

[–] Lussy@hexbear.net 29 points 3 months ago

Oh no stop killing me on screen

[–] SorosFootSoldier@hexbear.net 26 points 3 months ago

Wow killing nazis sweetie? VERY problematic, do better.

[–] Damarcusart@hexbear.net 20 points 3 months ago

Guy doesn't realise he's supposed to use his anime profile pic before saying this shit, not his obviously fascist symbol profile pic.

[–] Samsuma@lemmy.ml 8 points 3 months ago

has a username that reads "Dissident West", does not challenge status quo

Byzaboo revealed to be a nazi? What else in news, Sun rise in the east?
