AI Generated Content Disclosure

The developers describe how their game uses AI Generated Content like this:

With Bird Game 3 being our most ambitious Bird Game yet, we’ve assembled the largest team of artists ever for the franchise and to help meet the project's unique scope, they use AI tools for iterations, prototyping, and exploration. Every element players will experience in the final game reflects the team’s craft, artistry, and creative vision.

So actually, yes, some AI? Bold to say no AI but then say actually we use AI tools for "iterations, prototyping, and exploration".

Without the last sentence it sounds like AI is just used over the course of production and not in the final product. With the last sentence, it sounds like it's 60% AI.

Exactly lmao, the disclosure is so carefully crafted not to say that there's no AI in the final product that you have to assume it's mostly AI slop.

Even if there was no AI this is nigh guaranteed to be the previous enshittification thing as per videogames: the asset flip meme game

I can't believe we've been lied to by Bird Game Studio

Motion blur* or a similar effect would probably make their hummingbirds look a lot less like flailing animatronics. Maybe tweaking the rate of wing flaps to line up more regularly with the framerate would also work.

*very light, since obviously it's continuously right in front of the camera and could get annoying. A smear (in the sense of showing several "afterimage" wings) might work better

There's games for birds!?

Why did no one tell me this existed lmao.

I don't know anything about this, but hummingbirdmain67 cracked me up for some reason

I know it because of a video of a guy beating an eagle main with a pigeon and looting his eggs

[–] Dort_Owl@hexbear.net 4 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)
