Me over here banging my head against the wall because generic waifu collector is a popular game genre and being seriously discussed.

I’ve kind of grown to hate these types of games because their entire appeal is just vibes and fan service, I barely see anyone talk about the story or whether the game is even fun

It’s always just “UUUUOOOHHH 😭 WIFE WIFE”

His only point is basically just because of Chinese labour laws, although I gotta' say he might be wrong on that because Japan has people working long hours especially in the video game sector and Japanese workers in aggregate are 1/2 as productive as US, etc. Japan could probably compete if they optimized things to the worker's benefit.

Keep in mind that productivity is measured in $/h, not in content quality/h. Putting microtransactions and abusive practices is much more productive in the economic sense than making a good game with a ton of content like Baldurs

That new one they're working on looks interesting. Doesn't seem to be a waifu collector at least
