I hate #Spotify but didn't want to miss out on all the #wrapped excitement, so I made mine out of @jellyfin event logs

There is also an actual Jellyfin Rewind though you do need to have been using the playback reporting plugin.

This years isn't done yet.

@MentalEdge @Shadow You actually don't need the plugin! It will work "fine" without it, but since Jellyfin doesn't really track timestamps, it won't be as accurate :)

This is why I scrobble it to Last.fm. :) The site is still healthy and has a really nice end of year recap (but on Jan 1st, the actual end of year).

Listenbrainz. I still scrobble, and has served well, but the Brainz ecosystem needs to be promoted more, since they're fantastic.

Please try https://listenbrainz.org/ with https://github.com/lyarenei/jellyfin-plugin-listenbrainz ! It's fully open-sourced and from the musicbrainz team. All data is public domain, so it would support a good cause too!

Definitely recommend this approach, listenbrainz end-of-year recaps are quite similar to Spotify. Plus their tagging tool is great

Ooh! A kidneythieves enjoyer! Noice!

Funny, Paradise Lost is also at the top of my list. Ascension is one of the best records they ever made.

@HerrHelmus Yeah fr. Such great pacing and variety in the songwriting

I haven't thought about Fear Factory in a long time.

[–] Lemmchen@feddit.org 2 points 2 months ago

That's what I think about when I think about Factorio.

Hey, Symphony X - Paradise Lost is amazing!

[–] whoisearth@lemmy.ca 2 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Ok I'm judging you now.

  1. Best fla album
  2. Best fla song

😜

@whoisearth I've only just really started digging in, so not sure, hasn't settled yet. Tactical or Hard Wired feel like my fave early works, Wake Up the Coma best newer one. Millennium is good too but I recognise the sampled riffs and it's distracting 😄

Oooh I like you!

TNI is an amazing album my cousin is a huge FLA fan and his fav song is The Blade.

For me, I'm with you on Hard Wired. I love Sex Offender as my favourite song though

FLA without Rhys though.... Miss me with that shit.
