Meh, I absolutely loved this album, it was definitively formative. I still listen to some of the songs. But fuck Billy Corgan.

Wait - what’s up with Billy Corgan?

He seems to have very messy relationships with women with whom he also collaborates, he went on Alex Jones' podcast to compare "SJWs" (lol) to the KKK, and apparently he threw a bunch of guitars at his guitar tech (who went on to join A Perfect Circle) while at Lollapalooza.

Finally, he sacked the drummer for suffering a heroin overdose between Melon Collie and Adore and they changed their sound to more electronic, and a lot of fans saw that as him trying to change the Pumpkins into a solo act, and responding by calling anything after Adore a "tribute act" and claiming that the real Pumpkins are Iha, Chamberlain and Wretzky, and Corgan is just a side member.

Also he made a lot of transphobic comments. Search for "Billy Corgan devi ever" to find the story. Just an asshole all around, it seems. Had a few good albums in the 90s though!

Well he did essentially turn it into a solo act.

He just kinda went crazy.

That, or he always was.

Like the other comments said. For my part, I saw him live in 2010 and that was enough for me.

I think he's always been this way. I don't think any of his former bandmembers have much that's nice to say about him.

Yep I'm in the same boat. Loved the music but Billy's not someone I'd want to be in the same room as. He's not getting any more of my money.

I've got a used copy of Siamese Dream, and I'm only considering buying used copies of the other formative albums.

Not very fond of this stuff. I'd prefer new music, have much more respect for Pulp's More and Suede's Antidepressants than these derivatives milking fans purses.
