Freedom is when women are miserable.
And they're probably voting against their own interests in the process, under communism they'd have their basic needs more easily met and more time to work on themselves, and people in general would have more time and energy to socialize, so they might have better chances meeting someone who might like them...

Turns out the Stasi's entire surveillance scheme was to make sure that nobody was a selfish lover.
