I don’t like it, but it seems like Israel is increasingly telegraphing their willingness to use nuclear weapons, and everyone’s scared and throwing the Palestinians under the bus.

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

we should be telegraphing our willingness to throw nuclear weapons on them.

[–] surph_ninja@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

You people really don’t understand the threat of nuclear annihilation anymore.

[–] umbrella@lemmy.ml 1 points 1 day ago (1 children)

the threat has been kept at bay because of mutually assured destruction.

Israel is collapsing, and their leaders have already vocally declared their willingness to invoke the Samson option. They will destroy the planet, if they are not allowed to complete their genocide.

Yemen was shooting missiles at Ben Gurion airport and blocking the entire red sea. Iran barraged Tel Aviv.

China not being able to sign a UN resolution out of 'fear of nukes' is just cope.

Such childish naivety of the threat of nuclear annihilation is a threat to the continued existence of our species. You need to grow up.

Oh great argument I now fully support sending 5 gajillion dollars to AIPAC or else they will nuke me.

This is truly a great moment to weed out the true anti Imperialists to people who will do any level of mental gymnastics for China.

I really feel like they used to hire a better caliber of astroturfers. You think you can pull off pretending to be anti-imperialist, while pushing imperialist narratives about China and downplaying the threat of nuclear war?

No wonder you’re banned from leftist instances.

Is bad empanada a ML? I thought he was.

He seems to have an impressive ability to be hated by absolutely everyone.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml -2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Do you understand his post and what it's about?

[–] LibertyLizard@slrpnk.net 2 points 2 days ago (1 children)

I thought so, but the way you phrased this seems to be implying I don't? Do you want to elaborate?

China passed the United States UN resolution to disarm the Palestinian resistance, basically reversing their stance and rewarding Israel for 2 years of genocide.

This goes very much against Marxist-Leninism. But many online "lefties" have bound their definition of ML to China, and short-circuited when being confronted with China supporting imperialism. They say "read theory" when theory clearly disproves their position.

I see, so he's not criticizing MLs as a whole, just the large number that don't follow their own principles. That makes a bit more sense.

However, from my perspective I've hardly ever met any that seemed to have consistent principles. The only core idea seemed to be whatever China does is good. So it's a bit interesting that Palestine is finally able to break the illusion for some people. Kinda the same for a lot of former supporters of the west. I guess seeing the brutality so clearly makes it harder to swallow the lies we're inundated with.

[–] geneva_convenience@lemmy.ml 2 points 1 day ago

Yes the amount of actual anti-imperialists who don't just oppose genocide becuase it conveniently aligns with their national interests are steadily getting filtered out. We had a great moment recently with all the American surpremacists supporting Graham Platner doing mass murder in Iraq, and now all the China supporters. I was very pleasantly surprised by TheGrayZone condemning the resolution though.

[–] surph_ninja@lemmy.world 1 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Bullshit. I’ve never heard any Marxist-Leninist support Chinese imperialism, nor unwilling to criticize China. They just don’t play along with made up propaganda like the west’s narratives on Tiananmen Square nor the Uyghur radicalization.

So you're saying the person at the top in the post screenshot is not ML?

Also, why am I banned from Lemmygrad?

[–] surph_ninja@lemmy.world 2 points 2 days ago

Don’t know. They’re not making the claim you’re accusing them of, so it doesn’t matter either way.
