Firefox
A community for discussion about Mozilla Firefox.
As late as today I saw someone had thrown up a "!remindme 6 years" on a Nextcloud ticket as a sarcastic comment on the speed of critical fixes.
It has now been 9 years and the Nextcloud android app still hasn't implemented working 2-way sync.
Hmm, I wonder why that thought suddenly came up.
"I doubt people left Firefox because it didn’t have key binds," says one commenter. I almost did. It was only marginally less work to find a good way to stop ^W from accidentally closing all my firefox tabs than it would've been to switch to a different browser.
Back in the XUL days (pre Firefox 57) it was possible for an extension to muck with keyboard bindings. So only 90 versions later :)
I'm looking forward to being able to disable the ^q quit shortcut, at the very least.
Maybe regular users of Firefox didn't leave because of it, but I'm sure a number of people who were trying out Firefox decided not to switch because of it
I went to opera in like idk 2008? Then eventually opera turned into Chromium and removed all of that. Womp.
Maybe these shortcuts will come to the Android app too! !remindme 20 years
But that's not implementing more ~~electrolytes~~ AI that the users crave?!
What's the key command for changing Mozilla management?
Ctrl-$
Just key in your bank details and make a donation large enough to make them listen.
You don't even need to press a key. Just wait a couple of months, and there'll be a whole new roster again :P
PSA: Many extensions already support keyboard shortcuts, and Firefox allows you to change them. This might include your favorite extension.
Firefox doing something useful for once? I thought I'd never see the day...
I actually have liked their new side tabs and tab groups, to the extent that I stopped using Sidebery. I also was relieved when they finally added tabs for Firefox on Android tablets. Both of these came far too late though...
Let's see what the hive mind thinks... Good news, or another opportunity to complain?

Haha, current top comments are pretty much this.
Will I finally nbe able to rebind ^w? Sigh
