The framed problem (Christians under attack in Africa) isn't entirely accurate, so it's not that useful
Although the country is officially secular, Nigeria is closely split between Muslims (53%) and Christians (45%). To put it more simply, Nigeria is facing an ongoing insurgency that targets both Christians and Muslims (for being the wrong kind of Muslim). Anyone who only wants to talk about one part of that violence and not the other is making their agenda very clear.
I sure hope they're not gonna use it as an excuse to legitimize an invasion, but it's at the UN, so should be harmless.
