For my last missing days:
I would like one pizza and coffee, one roasted pork and veges.
Cheers ๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿป๐Ÿป,
And I've just finished day three with my mum who hasn't been to melb in 30 years. We've packed in: South Melbourne brunch and market, south bank stroll, NGV, dumplings (her first in 20 years), QVM (first Borek) Botanic gardens, random city strolling, st Kilda pier and strip with pub and food. museum, Thai food, many tram rides, fancy coffees. She is pooped from the walking (so am I) and tapped out early today. Last day tomorrow will be chill because her back is hurting. Albert Park lake and good lunch.

my cute summer jegging/jorts are coming along nicely!

For doing this all by hand, it doesn't look half bad! Quite proud of myself! Now I have to do the other leg, and then fix the pocket, add some pretty buttons, and it will be golden!

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's a pretty neat blanket stitch. Well done ๐Ÿ‘

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago

Ah its my greatest enemy:

The replacement bus all weekend. And there's no express. Fuuuuuuck.

Fuck.

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 7 points 5 months ago (2 children)

that's the worst!!

We always get busses replacing trains, but never trains replacing busses. Riddle me that, Batman!

[โ€“] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago (1 children)

That's funny as someone who lives in an area with exclusively buses.

Have to say seven of nine was my favourite ST character.. for... reasons.

[โ€“] StudChud@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago

Same! And same! ๐Ÿ‘€๐Ÿ˜‚

[โ€“] LowExperience2368@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago (3 children)

Yuck. The last time I went on a replacement bus, it took an hour and a half to get to my destination when it would normally take half an hour.

[โ€“] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 6 points 5 months ago

Tuna is but a vessel for kewpie mayo. The sooner you learn this the happier you will be

[โ€“] calhoon2005@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago

Yeah....but not if it's toro from a little place near shibuyu junction that we stumbled upon. That was 11 years ago and just reading your comment brought back that melt in your mouth taste...

I woke up with my ovaries being squeezed to death, my knee really fucking hurting and my finger being aware it's cut. My man is plying me with booze. I'm numb now and happy.

Entertain me people please.

A bit of cloud cover has started to creep in, hopefully heralding the predicted few days of rain. I've been watering these grass seeds a few times a day, having volunteer sky water will be a blessing. Just crossing my fingers that "possible thunderstorms" does not happen and wash all my seeds away.

Scones made, olive bread is rising, later I will make mango icy poles, some no cal jelly with fruit, and will attempt a giant maple syrup cookie.

beach time :)

30km bike ride and a swim later, I am ready for AYCE Sushi Train.

Ripper of a day though!

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago (5 children)

I've never done a sushi train. It's a life dream of mine.

Nice. The trains on my line have been cancelled for the next four days, without notice

it won't even be extra quiet as there is going to be demo and construction work a mile away across the grimpen mire, the sound will echo across the barren wastelands

[โ€“] melbaboutown@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago (6 children)

Bummer, vomit warning, skip if vents bring you down

Iโ€™ve been trying to eat more and exercise but itโ€™s so hard. I just took a second walk because Iโ€™m so antsy and understimulated but came home and was immediately sick. Despite my best efforts my stomach just medically doesnโ€™t function properly and it gets worse when Iโ€™m stressed out.

Sometimes I wonder what the point of my life is if itโ€™s going to be so hard. I donโ€™t want much. I donโ€™t want to be rich or have fancy things. I donโ€™t care about sex or relationships. I donโ€™t care about being famous or in any way exceptional.

I just want to be okay. I just want my cat and I to live somewhat happily and not have every single day be a shitfight.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

go to nice places

find some nice people

everyday write down at least one good thing that happened or that you did

( me, I think I have a friend currawong, it seems to follow me around the garden and on the balcony. I saw a mirage on the bay, a big boat that seemed to float above the water )

back pain update - things are looking slightly upThe prescription anti-inflammatories I'm taking for my back are making me feel quite woozy and light-headed, but they are definitely helping with reducing the overall pain. Not out of the woods yet - it's worst overnight / in the morning, tapers out during the day. At least I can move around more freely now and do some light exercising.

Dr ChatGPT says my muscle strain could have healed already, but the inflammation remains. I have to push through the drug wooziness to get this under control. I need my fitness routine back ASAP, mentally I feel really struck down from all this.

The x-ray / blood test results are back but the GP was booked out today, so I'm left on the edge of my seat until next week. I'm assuming no urgent phone call means nothing serious.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 5 months ago

Glad you're getting some relief.

First time I ever had an anti inflammatory pill was when a co-worker gave it to me. I was walking around with a smile on my face.

[โ€“] Alamutjones@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago

First tea of the day. I've done well so far

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 4 points 5 months ago (1 children)

Aside from some residual lung crud I seem to be better. Got off remarkably lightly. On the other hand, the Frog Princess is washing his hair that feels like bubblegum.

[โ€“] Catfish@aussie.zone 3 points 5 months ago

Hold my tiara MF I'm putting on diving suit.

I'm going to sleep to talk to the machine elves.

The floor mats to go under my office chair turned out to be really hard to unroll. I've managed to get them in place and weighted down in the hope they will manage to stay flat. If they don't the next step is a hair dryer. I'm pleased with the quality, they look like they should last well, unlike the carpet which I don't think is designed to actually be used.
