What about the anarcho-communism button

I assume that's what we were talking about, and not the fake kind.

[–] Uiop@lemmy.dbzer0.com -1 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Some things would alsonbe made way worse.

Unpopular opinion, i know

There is basically nothing we could do worse than the current nazi capitalism in a well-made anarcho-humanist/communist civilisation. We all need to realize the sheer scale of misery and death that capital (and capitalism) spreads. Just, off the top of my head without even thinking, I can list like 10 horrible things we could fix with worldwide, fair, proper education and a systematically friendly power structure instead of the fuckass billionaire-controlled nation surveillance states we have right now.

  • worldwide racism
  • worldwide modern slavery (low-paying wage labor counts)
  • famine (also worldwide which is really fucked up)
  • homelessness (it shocks me we still haven't solved this)
  • queerphobia (and harrasment of most other minorities)
  • worldwide suicides and depression increasing (yes, really, we can solve this, and easily)
  • global warming and climate change (and the victims of it that we ignore)
  • you know, the 0,00001% richest people having more wealth than a large country??? Seriously Nvidia is worth OVER 5 TRILLION USD
  • fucking 90% of wars and genocides
  • Etc. Etc. Etc...

What? What would be made worse?

Let's take the shittiest implementation of communism that still counts; the USSR.

What sucked there that doesn't suck in the modern united States?

Too cold? Novels too long? Cuisine too heavy?

Seriously. Name one fucking thing that's 'because communism' and not 'because Russia'.

The switch is HRT

[–] jxk@sh.itjust.works 3 points 2 months ago

I accidentally the switch

[–] Inucune@lemmy.world 3 points 2 months ago

I press the switch just to upset all these people, whether it will fix anything or not.

If you think it’s possible to fix anything involving more than a dozen people easily you’re delusional

[–] imetators@lemmy.dbzer0.com 4 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (1 children)

It is not impossible. It gets impossible when a substantialy bigger group of people is actively trying to break what you are trying to fix. Or worse, people that can pay other people to screw your job up.

Other than that, with no external interference fixing stuff together is easy.

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world -2 points 2 months ago

And the more people you have the more likely there will be folks undermining your progress.

And even if there’s aren’t people like that you have to get everyone on the same page, organized, and working. And the more people there are the harder that job becomes.

To summarize the summary: People are a problem.

What a deeply sad way to live life

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world -1 points 2 months ago (1 children)

It’s better than the constant disappointment I used to feel because people always let me down.

[–] yoissy@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago (1 children)

I mean this with complete sincerity. This is the kind of thing you should talk to a therapist about. You don't need to live your life constantly waiting for people to let you down. You can find people who you can trust. You can be happy. It's worth trying

[–] Semi_Hemi_Demigod@lemmy.world 1 points 4 weeks ago

In my personal life I have a few people I can rely on and I’m actually quite happy.

It’s the entire rest of the species that’s the constant disappointment.

How can I feel good about people in general when they’ve done the wrong thing my entire life?

[–] meekah@lemmy.world 2 points 2 months ago
