That's a name I haven't heard in a long time.
The devs are probably from the future and are giving us hints what will happen by calling the armour of techno-fascists, "Tesla".
Did they say how long the fusion core lasts in the fallout TV show? It can power entire vault for decades or centuries and we did not see power armour needing replacement not even after walking to las Vegas .
They should work in a little throwaway joke about it, maybe show Lucy's Pipboy screen just long enough to see:

I had to install a "Recharge Core During Fast Travel" mod on 4, so yeah i get it.
I have used the unlimited fusion core for power armour in every single playthrough. No regrets. The core can power a generator or whatever for 200 years but only powers the power armour for 5 mins? Yeah nah fuck that.
I use a reduce drain mod for power armor in 4. It takes away the sprinting and standing there drains but leaves most of the other stuff. That makes it a little more fair than just unlimited core but still better than vanilla.
I've played the game enough times in vanilla that I just want to be an unstoppable tank with unlimited ammo and jetpack.
