Started getting a sore throat yesterday but I thought it was because I didn't drink much water. Boy was I wrong. Woke up with a migraine, fever, chills, bodily pains and of course, a way worse fucking sore throat. Hopefully I can recover faster than I did when I was sick two months ago because I have to do a presentation in five days.

Hope you get well soon!

How she did not laugh at the antics of the others I don't know.

Presentation went AMAZING, best one yet. Lots of questions and discussions during the session which is exactly what I want. And a possible new client that came to the session has already emailed me. That's how it's done!

Youโ€™re smashing it!

[โ€“] Gibsonhasafluffybutt@aussie.zone 10 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I've decided to buy a phone tripod and make lame social media videos playing covers.

Will it be a waste of time? Absolutely.

Will it be fun? Depends if Gibson makes a star appearance lol

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago

As long as you have fun doing it!!

[โ€“] SituationCake@aussie.zone 9 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Canโ€™t sleep club checking in. Also thankyou Melbaboutown. Yarrabyte seems to be chucking a sickie again.

Another presentation today! My last in the tour, feeling a lot more positive and less nervous than I did on the day of the last one. Mindset is currently - going to kill it.

[โ€“] SpinMeAround@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago

Hell yeah you are!!

I think back to a year ago when I was dealing with the old job. I wanted to try get into recording again around the grand final long weekend but realised I had to make moves to try get out of there. Things have been good with the current job and I'm talking some days off around this public holiday without any plans so I might try get into things again

How bizarre. I slept overnight for a few hours, and then spent the time from 7am to 5pm mostly asleep. I really hope it isn't COVID and it's just today I'll be like this.

"Panel needs replacing on a car? Going through insurance will run it at $2200. Skipping all the paperwork going straight through me will be $1100. However, if you want it done on the weekend, cash in hand, let's make it $800."

Still got the big red boat? It was a fun looking car.

I can absolutely help with that. But not from here.

I'll get into this when I get home in a couple of hours.

ahhh it's all happening I've ripped out the corner cabinet, painted down the hardiboard waterproofing, fitted marine ply to level the floor, plumber tomorrow to fit the new shutoffs, detach the brewery piping from the kitchen and put in a new trap for our dishywashy, Monday sparky comes to fit socket for dishywashy and then we install dishywashy. Meanwhile, I have Friday-monday off as well as cup day so I'm FINALLY GONNA FINISH LAYING THAT FUCKING CRAZY PAVING. and His Lordship shall complete the pointing on the back wall, paint the side wall and start work on the cleat wall.

sounds like a plan ๐Ÿ‘

Iโ€™ve had a lovely breakfast - my favourite local cafe does not skimp on the number of ๐Ÿ„โ€๐ŸŸซ in their omelettes! - taken my library books back and had my hair cut. All to the good

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago* (last edited 2 months ago) (2 children)

so much decluttering

a whole suitcase worth of clothes and a big box of books

feels bad to get rid of good clothes , that's my past poverty talking

Also, no more buying personal non necessary things, not even books.

I have enough.

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I'm spring cleaning and decluttering too. On the good days I'll do my usual everyday chores then choose something extra. I call this my bonus. It might be cleaning out a cupboard or organising my sock drawer depending on how active I feel.

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago (1 children)

Friday is my cupboard sorting day , this is extra :)

this house is so easy to look after, such a relief after the last place which was a nightmare

for example, the last place was super dusty because the carpet was really old and degrading , this place has mostly wooden floors and new carpet, it's easy

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

I like to have all my work done before 2:30 everyday so I can relax before the man comes home to massage my feet and fetch my cuppa tea and slippers.

[โ€“] imoldgreeeg@aussie.zone 5 points 2 months ago

It is better to give stuff away then have it lying around unused. I can't wait until this weekend. Planning a big declutter!!!

[โ€“] RustyRaven@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

I have whipped and snipped some edges and the tallest clumps of grass in the backyard. Now my arms are feeling a bit wobbly. Not sure if I'll do the mowing today or tomorrow. I should do a bit more cardboard/mulch application and start on planting vegie seeds, but my motivation is very low today.

[โ€“] Taleya@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

I keep going out and looking at the area I'm gonna pave, checking all the supplies are ready to go and have to keep reminding myself that I can't start it now it's the middle of a bloody work day

[โ€“] CEOofmyhouse56@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago (1 children)

There's a very distinct smell outside from certain trees. ๐Ÿคฎ

๐ŸŽถOh the sprog trees will blind the weary driver...๐ŸŽต

[โ€“] tombruzzo@aussie.zone 6 points 2 months ago (2 children)

Work from home tomorrow then Friday and Monday off. There's something going on at work where they'll pay for us to go to the museum so I think I'll take them up on that for Sunday

Too nice a day to do admin and emails inside so grabbed the laptop and relocated to the park. I cannot describe how good a decision that was for my little burner out brain. ๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž๐ŸŒž

I've missed having a modded console to mess around with.

I just love having complete control over a piece of hardware. If it's yours you should be able to load whatever you like onto it.

The Sun. Lovely day outside.

Dragula is a great trashy show. Drag queens bitching each other out and being all sassy and witty, while designing horror themed drag outfits. I didn't know I was a fan of this subculture until now

[โ€“] Seagoon_@aussie.zone 4 points 2 months ago

sounds like happy people having fun, what's not great about that :)
