"Panel needs replacing on a car? Going through insurance will run it at $2200. Skipping all the paperwork going straight through me will be $1100. However, if you want it done on the weekend, cash in hand, let's make it $800."
Still got the big red boat? It was a fun looking car.
Nah, had to move that car on a year ago. It was beautiful, fun and entirely impractical. I've now got a little zippy hatch. Compromised on the convertible by getting a sunroof, lol.
I used to borrow a housemates convertible. It was fun, I'm glad I drove one, I don't want one.
I need to find that guy! Trying to get a replacement door for mine and they all want to go through insurance and charge bajillions.
I'm sure I can pass on the deets if you're around the Moorabbin Airport area!
Afraid not but thanks
HELLO FRIEND YES I WOULD LIKE DEETS
hubs hit the pillar on the way out of the driveway and our nose needs some de-bumping
Cash economy is strong. I'm moderately sure my first few employers were paying me cash but not paying taxes/super etc. I was a clueless teenager getting cash envelopes and didn't know better. I'm probably owed a couple hundred dollars in super from each of them.
I would love for this to happen honestly. I was quoted 2.5k to replace a panel a few years ago. Haven't done it because the car is probably worth 5k and it's still functioning okay ish.
Sounds like medical care pricing in America.
It just made me go "and we wonder why insurance costs so much these days!"
