I originally thought it meant she wasn’t going that direction and missed the message.
That was my first thought as well but she does look in the right direction in the second panel when you think about it

Probably intentional ambiguity on the part of the artist. It could easily be read either way.
A gentle let down to not antagonise a stalker who desicrated a crime scene to get your attention
