Damn it. I've been trying to post a picture of my large tool box sitting in my studio apartment but bleh.
I do this too. Especially if something one off needs to go with me; those I put right by the front door.

I put my keys in anything that I need to remember, and schedule myself a text for when I'm going to be looking for them so I can remember the keys are in the fridge with my lunch.
