And that’s basically it!
I used to live near the Kwinana freeway and often at peak hour that road is backed up to a stand still anyway.
Also unclear how ducks got on there? The concrete barriers are low and last i checked ducks can fly
"If you see ducks, ducklings or wildlife attempting to cross a freeway or road, stay in your car and call for assistance."
Huh. At least it's minor injuries.
Where I live a woman was sent to jail for 90 days for stopping her car for ducks on an expressway and killing a motorcyclist and its passenger when they slammed into the back of her car.

That seems mostly on the motorcyclist, vehicles stopping for no apparent reason is something you should be ready for.
Not stopping, fully stopped. In the middle of a highway. While they should have been observant for dangerous situations, she was the one who created the situation in the first place. Them being at fault does not preclude her from being at fault as well.
This always sparks debate, and I can see why.
There are a million reasons you might need to stop. That's why highways are designed with specific speed limits, so you have enough time to see hazards and come to a full stop if necessary. If you're not prepared to stop unexpectedly, then you are a menace to society.
But it's also dangerous to stop. That's why most places have laws against stopping (or even going too far below the speed limit) unnecessarily. It's a hazard.
Neither is an excuse for the other.
Don't you have traffic jams on highways? Including some that involve cars stopping completely?
I mean the reason you can do 130 kmh on a highway is because you can see like a kilometer forward and stop safely from that speed.
It's also a lot easier to see an entire freeway full of stopped and slowly moving vehicles, as opposed to a single immobile one in the middle of an otherwise empty highway. There's a reason we have laws against it.
Yeah I think I mellowed out too much from highway driving, average speeds on a Belgian highway where I am now is like 40 km/h.
left-hand lane
That's super dangerous for her too. Who knows if she even had hazards on.
Left lane is the slow lane in austruckenfalia
Ah, missed the Perth part. So they were all driving the wrong way then.
Wrong. Everywhere on the Internet is America and you can quote Amendments.
Team duck wya
A neat story with the ducks.
