  1. Post only links to articles, Title must fairly describe link contents. If your title differs from the site’s, it should only be to add context or be more descriptive. Do not post entire articles in the body or in the comments.

Links must be to the original source, not an aggregator like Google Amp, MSN, or Yahoo.

Example:

  1. Articles must be relevant to politics. Links must be to quality and original content. Articles should be worth reading. Clickbait, stub articles, and rehosted or stolen content are not allowed. Check your source for Reliability and Bias here.
  2. Be civil, No violations of TOS. It’s OK to say the subject of an article is behaving like a (pejorative, pejorative). It’s NOT OK to say another USER is (pejorative). Strong language is fine, just not directed at other members. Engage in good-faith and with respect! This includes accusing another user of being a bot or paid actor. Trolling is uncivil and is grounds for removal and/or a community ban.
  3. No memes, trolling, or low-effort comments. Reposts, misinformation, off-topic, trolling, or offensive. Similarly, if you see posts along these lines, do not engage. Going forward, slapfights will result in removed comments and temp bans to cool off.
  4. Vote based on comment quality, not agreement. This community aims to foster discussion; please reward people for putting effort into articulating their viewpoint, even if you disagree with it.
  5. No hate speech, slurs, celebrating death, advocating violence, or abusive language. This will result in a ban. Usernames containing racist, or inappropriate slurs will be banned without warning

We ask that the users report any comment or post that violate the rules, to use critical thinking when reading, posting or commenting. Users that post off-topic spam, advocate violence, have multiple comments or posts removed, weaponize reports or violate the code of conduct will be banned.

All posts and comments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis. This means that some content that violates the rules may be allowed, while other content that does not violate the rules may be removed. The moderators retain the right to remove any content and ban users.

That's all the rules!

You can't shame the shameless

Kids dying? I don't think you could say anything else that would make a Republican orgasm faster.

[–] PunnyName@lemmy.world 3 points 1 day ago (1 children)

Well, that depends. Is he also fucking that child?

What about fucking the corpse of a child killed in a school shooting?

[–] betterdeadthanreddit@lemmy.world 121 points 2 days ago (4 children)

It's a risk he's willing to take.

They're going to Out-Brannigan, Zap Brannigan at this pace.

Yup (from the same article)

But Johnson made it clear on a conference call with House Republicans on Thursday that he does not plan on passing a standalone bill to pay the troops before Wednesday, when military personnel are set to miss their first paychecks, according to two Republican sources on the call.

During the call, Johnson received some slight pushback from GOP members over his strategy. Two Republicans spoke up to express their concerns over the House’s remaining out of session, the sources on the call said, but several others spoke up in support of the idea.

I do well believe if Schumer finally decided a shutdown was worth it, then he's got good polling saying the public is blaming Republicans increasingly. If this goes on until Thanksgiving, Christmas, it'll have major impacts across the country and will actually start taking full points off our economic growth rate. The GOP seems to want to double down with thousands of layoffs. I do not think this will end well for them.

He's a Farkwaad

A sacrifice he's willing to make.

Why would Mike Johnson, Christian Leader of the Pro Life Party, care about Dead Kids?

[–] just_another_person@lemmy.world 42 points 2 days ago (1 children)

"FUCK THEM KIDS" - Mike Johnson

Rather accurate

[–] FistingEnthusiast@lemmynsfw.com 57 points 2 days ago (1 children)

So now she's worried, because it affects her directly

I'd wager that she'll still vote Republican next time anyway

[–] Whostosay@sh.itjust.works 24 points 2 days ago* (last edited 2 days ago) (1 children)

Did we confirm she voted for this? I can confirm her kids didn't.

Either way she raises a great point that this slimy motherfucker could immediately change thousands if not millions of lives by having just a tiny bit of empathy and we all got to see that he'll slither out of that responsibility and lie to everyone's face just to keep doing evil shit.

Looks like a dub to me

Something that people in power believe, unfortunately.

[–] xc2215x@lemmy.world 16 points 2 days ago

Mike will not care.

He’d rather jerk off with his son than think about a pleb

[–] PattyMcB@lemmy.world 32 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Us veterans are suckers and losers. What did she expect?

Fuck this administration. Even the psycho MTG is calling them out. That should tell you something.

[–] b3an@lemmy.world 4 points 1 day ago

Right? I never ever would have expected MTG to do anything except shill for Trump. I still think she’s a giant piece of shit, but she smells slightly less now.

[–] LuxSpark@lemmy.cafe 34 points 2 days ago (1 children)

Don’t get these guys too excited.
