This article for some reason decided to dance around the obvious reason it was delayed. The show is based an an article titled, "Is It Possible to Stop a Mass Shooting Before It Happens?"

The outrage machine was recently directly affected, so Apple is just giving them a few weeks to move on to something else.

The early review is only making me want to see it more. 😖 If it really is essential television, then come on apple, let's do this!

Quotes from the article:

An early review of The Savant has been published by Variety, with TV critic Aramide Tinubu calling the series “essential television” in a praise-laden review.

Here are some key quotes:

  • “The Savant is brilliant and unsettling”
  • “The series is riveting throughout, but it works best when depicting the cost of discriminatory speech and cruelty”
  • “In these fraught political times, The Savant is essential television”
  • “Most disturbing is the series’ depiction of how this type of violence and groupthink spreads. The Savant unsettlingly holds up a mirror to the country, showing viewers what it will cost if we continue down this path.”
