God going through the list of worthy Christians: .... ate pork ... has tattoos ... cut long hair ... not circumcised ... ate shell fish ... wears two types of fabric clothing ... took my name in vain ... had sex before marriage ... gay ... gay ... gay ... woman who tried to be smart ... ate pork ... tattoos ... charged interest on a loan ... charged interest ... charged interest ... charged interest ... actually I can just organize this by type on this spread sheet (holy shit, there's a lot of them that charged interest) .. oh these guys shaved their beard .... worked on a sunday (or was that a saturday? or a friday? ... ah, whatever, I'll just cross them out anyway) ... divorced, divorced, divorced ... I'll just re-sort the spreadsheet again for that one ... oh yeah, I can wipe out a few billion for that one ... talked back to his parents ... JESUS CHRIST! ... no one is making this list!!!

God is actually an introvert and doesn't want anyone to bother them in heaven.
There was no doctrine of the rapture until the 1830s, following somebody's different translation of the bible. That means that the people who wrote the various passages that this doctrine was based on did not believe in the rapture. It's just a mind-bogglingly stupid idea that somebody could read a piece of text, and believe that the text is more accurate than the intent behind the text.
Anyways, my occasionally evangelical, occasionally pentacostal aunt is the only person who I know well that believes in the rapture. She also believes that she is "saved," so in her mind, she has already passed the criteria to get into heaven, and so whenever she dies, there's no doubt. She'll just go right in. And similarly, if there was a rapture, there is no doubt in her mind, she'd just go right in.
Long story short, I think the people who are stupid enough to believe in the rapture are also stupid enough to believe that there is no chance that they would still be on Earth if the rapture happened. Nothing can change their minds.
That's a real head scratcher. I'm pretty sure they know they're right, so what went wrong?
In my understanding, the rapture has been consistently happening for years now. I haven't seen a single good christian in a long, long time. I can only assume that they existed at one time so consistent rapture is the only logical conclusion.
Isn't the earth to be enjoyed? The rapture should work at the opposite way, not removing only the few good persons.
Imagine one day we wake up and all the war criminals, murderers, sociopaths, billionaires were all converted into useful fertilizer
