That's how you know it's good!

I literally could not eat that as it is as best I can tell from the photo. Some of us have mouths that just do not open that wide (and it makes dentist visits even less fun). Wider would be better (or smaller overall)

Ick. How would you get that thing in your mouth, might as well mush it up in a bowl. Wude and low is the way to a good burger.

[–] pieguy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

I don't think anyone should be wude!

Your name should give you a clue what a good shape for food is

That bottom bun has decided to quit being. I can hear its Marvin sigh from here.

[–] Kolanaki@pawb.social 6 points 1 month ago (2 children)

It drowned in that puddle of cheese and grease.

Under the weight of Salt Bae's towering rebirth like Zül of Stay-Puft.

The kinda of food you have to get naked and dexter your room to eat

[–] pieguy@lemmy.sdf.org 3 points 1 month ago

The best kind!

How does that simultaneously look like both low and high grade food?

Those patties look like charcoal, the bun is flat and generic, but somehow the presentation looks refined and the appearance intentional. That bit of mayo being squished out the bottom adding a noteworthy splash of bright white amongst a full range of delicious colors.

The blurriness of the photo makes this whole thing even more fascinating.

What was once low is now high, just look at lobsters!

Hell yeah, dude! That is a monster if a burger

[–] pieguy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Thank you, o wise sandwich opossum! But I'm not sure how an opossum would be able to eat such a big burger!

Very carefully, and until dawn

[–] lessthanluigi@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 month ago

One might even say it is a Mondo-burger

[–] over_clox@lemmy.world 3 points 1 month ago (1 children)

It's leaking..

And I'm drooling...

[–] blargh513@sh.itjust.works 1 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Gotta fry that egg a little longer. No good if the yolk isn't in the burger.

[–] sugar_in_your_tea@sh.itjust.works 5 points 1 month ago (1 children)

Nah, you can easily sop up the yolk with the burger to get some in each bite. I much prefer runny yold almost always, especially in a sandwich like this.

[–] blargh513@sh.itjust.works 3 points 1 month ago

I mean, I'm eating that egg one way or another. Can slop it up with some fries. I just prefer it in the burger. Gets messy otherwise.

Eggy burger is the best burger.

You're missing the pineapple rings, and "patty" is pretty nondescript considering how much flavor comes from it.

IMO, a perfect patty is ground bison, an egg, some shredded cheddar, salt, pepper, and rosemary, all mixed and mashed together, then grilled to medium/medium-well.

You can do a lot better than "patty" :D

[–] pieguy@lemmy.sdf.org 2 points 1 month ago (1 children)

But do I need to do better?

[–] SPRUNT@lemmy.world 0 points 1 month ago

You don't need to do anything. But if you're using frozen patties, or just some basic ground beef, you can do better.
