I don't know or care how long this meme has been out in the wild..

He lit the 'cigarette' on the wrong end.

Also, where is his lighter? ๐Ÿค”

I'm saving your comment, as you have succinctly explained it better than I ever could. ๐Ÿ‘

Yes! The bottom left, I got 2 pairs of those from eBay for $7.16 USD.

They're not suitable for everyday wear, but if you lose your nearsighted glasses, it's better than nothing. So, a glovebox item...

They're called pinhole glasses.

Nah, I just don't want others around me when I dance. It's a wonder I ever had a cameraman a few times..

Damn homie, you're even more nearsighted than I am. I start losing focus about 18cm from my eyeball, but can see stuff up close almost like a microscope!

Here's my collection of corrective lenses..

I find the bifocals in the top right best for me.

You lost the game... ๐Ÿ‘Œ

My natural vision is like 20/500, very nearsighted.

I'm pretty good with BMX flatland bicycle balance tricks, so good in fact that I can do a number of them blindfolded, as it allows me to focus not on my vision but on my balance. So that to me is mostly natural, and doesn't even require much visual input on open flatland.

But to play a 2 player game, where my vision requires a moment to adapt my vision and focus from near to far and back, plus not get confused by the shear lines from my glasses as I turn my head, then it's not so easy to get that natural sense you speak of.

Sigh, bad vision sucks, even with glasses..

LOL!

Put it this way, I refuse to ever again work for any company that insists on gambling games to assign job duties.

At least that first company adjusted their tactics for assigning duties and eliminated the gambling factor.

Wait wait, you wear underpants?

Well this is a real game changer!...

Yeah, every single time I have encountered someone that insisted me to play the game, they can't and won't hold their hand sign long enough for my eyes to even focus on.

They could just as soon use that nearsighted eye refocus time to change their hand sign and always win.

20/500 eyesight sucks, glasses or not..

[โ€“] over_clox@lemmy.world 1 points 3 days ago

I'm loosely familiar with that game too, but damn that would just make hand signs effectively impossible for me..

Don't get me wrong, I totally understand the rules of the game, its rather simple. My question is how do people manage to play out 3 rounds in less than 5 seconds?

For me, it's a multi-step mental challenge that would take me like 15 to 20 seconds slowed down to complete.

    1. Pick a word, Rock, Paper, Scissors
    1. Remember how to shape my hand
    1. Punch Rock into my palm a couple times anyways, as apparently Rock is the default before the actual sign is thrown
    1. Remind myself how to arrange my own hand sign when the round is up
    1. Observe the opponent's sign, which is only presented for about a half of a second
  • ?. Oh fuck, I didn't have enough time to register the opponent's hand sign
    1. Feel like a fucking idiot and walk away

Seriously, how is this game played so quickly? Is it more suitable for people that know sign language or something?

Front tires, 1.8psi?!

Phooey, I forgot what site I stumbled into to find that one, I was basically looking to see what official tire and rim sizes fit my mom's car.

Fuck AI, they'd just as soon have you driving on flats if you took that 'information' literally.. ๐Ÿคฆ

I'm not exactly sure when the alignment got out of whack, but a couple years ago he had his front struts and shocks replaced, so that could have something to do with it.

Anyways, what I found was that his right front wheel was slightly cocked to the left, what they call tow-in regarding alignment. Welp, I just basically eyeballed it once, turned the adjustment about 3 full turns, locked it down and had him go for a test drive around the block.

Second check, I realized I slightly overshot good alignment and went back about โ…“ of a turn, then had him test drive it a couple days.

Today I felt it was still ever so slightly overshot, so I turned it back about โ…“ more turn, and now it drives perfectly smooth!

Disclaimer: You'll find a lot of videos online about this and how supposedly easy it is just with some string and reasonable mechanic common sense, but that isn't always the case. Sure the string/laser methods are fantastic and all, but that only works if the front wheelspan and the back wheelspan are equal.

Not all vehicles are like that, I used to own a car where the back wheelspan was about an inch and a half wider than the front wheelspan, meaning the string trick couldn't possibly work right on that car. Thankfully my roommate's vehicle apparently has equal wheelspan both front and back, making the process easier.

But don't always trust YouTube, know your skills, your tools, and your vehicle before doing anything, especially if you're not sure...

Zero for me. No Netflix or anything here, I'm not into subscription based services.

But if you do have subscription based services, what might be the better ones out there?

Bonus lower tool is the last generic ~$5 bullshit mini multitool I got years ago at an auto parts shop.

Much to my surprise, the new larger tool I got today feels pretty well made for what it is. No it's not perfect, but damn, for only $5.35 at our local Dollar Tree, I couldn't help but get one while the getting is good here! ๐Ÿ‘

No it's technically not part of my everyday carry, I have a Gerber Suspension NXT and also a NexTool Silver Card multitool for EDC, but those cost me over $30 each, so I figure what I got today makes for a nice backup tool for around the house.

Sorry it's not quite EDC as I just got it, but I didn't know where else to share..
