I'm just amazed they were brazen enough to put Alucard in this game

Alucard from castlevania or Alucard from hellsing ultimate abridged, huge difference imo.
I was watching the trailer for this and for a while I was actually convinced that it was a Castlevania crossover thing until they didn't explicitly say it was
I'd assume this is a prequel given that the design is very antiquity-themed whereas three houses has a more medieval flavour.
But then again, guns and the Alucard guy who is more renaissance/early modern themed.
I'm always willing to be pleasantly surprised!
i know very little about fire emblem but its wild to me this is the game Nintendo is choosing to feature RN for switch 2. im willing to bet most of the hardcore playerbase of the Fire Emblem and Xenoblade series do not need convincing to purchase a switch 2 if they have to means to afford one
meanwhile like none of the casual crowd i know has any interest in buying a switch 2
that ditto minecraft/dq builders-esque seems like it was trying to draw in the casual crowd. even the trailer guy said "take it slow, no need to rush" or something to that effect
I'm stoked for a more POC centric cast in an actual FE game if the trailer is anything to go by. Chuds are gonna mald about that so hard
Its just cool cool cool. I hope the writers really go wild and farther with building a deep and human world than they reached in 3 houses
I wonder if their are going to add Gun classes or just one special character will have them ( im hoping for a Hand cannon class or Jezail)
Also the cartheginian/north african influece from the trailer made me think it takes place in Almyra or close to it since we only see fodlan and the border of other continents in 3 houses
Almyra would make sense. If I recall from what we can glean from 3 houses they seem to have been portrayed as a sort of Arabic with nomadic elements mixed in so I wonder if this portrayal would be a more "modernized" almyra on context to the story, or to keep with making everything fresh this new world map takes place bordering Almyra in a similar way to how Fodlan was so the blending of cultural similarities on top of the movement of people and cultures can make sense.
I also remeber that Almyra was described as a big empire of it own with deserts, prairies and forests so it makes sense its a diverse continent like fodlan, also since it borders Fodlan it makes since they have both Nabatea and Agarthan influences.
Also its posible the Almyra continet is divided and not unified like Fodlan and the game takes place in that continent but not the same almyran empire.
also i agree with the video that the guy with the orange sword is probably from fodlan
All very valid points. honestly at this point it feels like the tough of speculation's pretty empty since we're quite literally only days after the trailer release and there's a whole year for Intelligent Systems to dribble feed more sweet feed into our hungry mouths.
That said, I'm curious whether or not there's gonna be an Avatar of sorts or whether or not that's being ditched in favor of focusing purely on making four interwoven stories based off of the depicted most likely main characters.
Hopefully this one dumps the social simulation stuff
I like the social sim stuff, it gives a chance for characters that aren't essential to the main storyline time to be developed and gain additional depth that they normally wouldn't have.
Fine if it’s light and there is no main character you play as.
Three Houses with its weird high school dating sim-esque stuff is just yuk.
